8 weeks today

Today marks 8 weeks, I am so happy we made it this far, I'm going to be kind of anxious this next week, one week from today I have my Dr's appt and a ultrasound, I cant wait to see how sparkles is doing. I think James and I have a name picked out for a boy if this baby is a boy. Caden Ray Jenkins, I really like the name Caden and James even agreed so I was happy with that. And we both chose Ray, Ray is his grandma Joyce's middle name and she passed away when he was in basic training. I was having a hard time choosing a middle name for Caden, I liked James and Edward, but James didn't like Edward, but then we both figured we would name him, if it is a boy Caden Ray. I'm feeling OK, I am trying to get over a cold that I've had for a few days its just an annoying cough with a lot of flem in my lungs that i keep coughing up, It started with a cough and a mild fever, and a stuffy nose, the fever went away so now i just have the cough and the stuffy nose. Other than that my pregnancy symptoms are weird, I have constant nausea, and I can hardly eat anything and keep it down, I've been eating a lot of tater tots lately though, they taste really good with Nacho cheese and chili on them yum! My boobs hurt really bad one day and then not so much the next day, I am tired but cant sleep i think that is partially due to James not being home so I'm not sleeping well, At least i will have almost 2 months of him being home before he deploys.

How your baby's growing: New this week: Webbed fingers and toes are poking out from your baby's hands and feet, his eyelids practically cover his eyes, breathing tubes extend from his throat to the branches of his developing lungs, and his "tail" is just about gone. In his brain, nerve cells are branching out to connect with one another, forming primitive neural pathways. You may be daydreaming about your baby as one sex or the other, but the external genitals still haven't developed enough to reveal whether you're having a boy or a girl. Either way, your baby — about the size of a kidney bean — is constantly moving and shifting, though you still can't feel it. See what's going on in your uterus this week.
How your life's changing: You may notice that your bra is getting more snug. Soon you'll likely need a larger size with better support. Rising levels of hormones cause breast growth and other tissue changes, all in preparation for lactation. Your breasts may continue to grow throughout pregnancy. Don't be surprised if you go up a cup size or two, especially if it's your first baby. Keep this in mind, and allow for room to grow when investing in a new bra.Feeling fatigued? Hormonal changes — in particular, a dramatic rise in progesterone — may be contributing to your sluggishness. Nausea and vomiting can certainly cost you energy, too. And you may be having trouble getting a good night's sleep at this point, especially if you're uncomfortable or find you need to get up to pee.
